Olmstead Act Celebration

On June 22, 1999, a landmark ruling was made by the United States Supreme Court. The ruling was in favor of "L.C. or Lois Curtis and stated that the segregation of people with disabilities in institutions is a form of descrimination under the ADA. It went on to state that community-based services should be provied when possible and not opposed by the individual.
