Description
Join us for a grassroots advocacy event!
The Arc of DFW Area is passionate about promoting and advocating for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and empowering them to live self-determined lives.
Members of The Arc will provide an update on current Texas and Federal legislation and policies affecting individuals with disabilities. We will share The Arc's policy priorities, our chapter's efforts to advocate for important community-based services in the current year, how we are working on long term advocacy strategies, and how you can get involved. No individual person or organization can do this alone, we need your help to build a path to a better future for Texans with disabilities.
Why Attend?
- Be Heard: Share your experiences and ideas.
- Learn: Understand the current policy landscape.
- Collaborate: Work with like-minded advocates to drive positive change.
What to Expect
This is a 2-hour event and we want everyone to leave with new allies, defined action items, and a renewed spirit to create change.
